NAME THE MOON ESSAY CONTEST

We are having an essay contest to help name our moon.

WHO CAN ENTER?

All students grades 3rd-8th

HOW TO ENTER:

Watch the Looney Moonies at home or in your school’s computer lab. Then choose your own unique name for our moon and write an essay about why you chose that name. Go to www.namethemoon.world to submit your unique names.

Essays can be submitted using the submission form on this page.

PRIZES: WIN A PIZZA PARTY FOR YOUR ENTIRE CLASS!

*We will choose five (5) winners from each grade group (3rd-5th and 6th-8th). The winners will be chosen at the end of May and we will reward each student’s entire class with a pizza party and a Looney Moonie poster!

MOON PICTURE CONTEST

Color a picture of the moon and give it a name.

WHO CAN ENTER?

All students between Pre-School and 2nd grade.

HOW TO ENTER:

Have your children watch the Intro to the Looney Moonies at home or in your school’s computer lab. Then draw a picture of the Moon and give it a unique name.

Parents and teachers, help your students share your drawings with us via social media or submit them to our Moon Picture Contest using the form on this page. With your permission, we will feature some of the drawings on our website.

PRIZES: WIN A PIZZA PARTY FOR YOUR ENTIRE CLASS

We will choose five (5) PreK thru 2nd grade winners at the end of May and we will reward their classes with a pizza party and a Looney Moonie poster!
